Paradox,
You can try 'search' button, because there should be the new version of the thread somewhere in the forums. But the search don't work accurately (see Failing search ).
You can start a new thread here and ask people. Or PM Xin Yu.
You can also Ctrl-F 'Xin' within my Favorites file in the Links thread. There is another thread that mentions the X-pack.

Wouldn't it be nice to have some form of strategy guide, perhaps indexed that one could search thru for detail similar to the search function here. Im sure it could be set up.....even using something as simple as outlook express or another mail tool. The threads could be imported and then one would have an offline database.
I certainly could do with something like that at this stage...too much info to digest at once and better to store it for later accessibility. |
I think you can always save a thread on your HDD. There is only few threads with condensed information that deserves a download. Otherwise you would have to download all forums.
Don't miss the link Show a Printable Version in the upper part of every thread, it shows you full thread.
The main problem is that only some areas of Civ2 knowledge are ordered and condensed in guides. More people willing to sift forums and to build condensed threads is needed.

Post a link please, I can't find it out.
BTW is there any 'MP FAQ'? I had many questions when I started my first MP game. For example i had to start a thread where I asked about differencies between SP and MP, I had to test what happens if your predecessor ends a turn without warning and you are in the middle of micromanagement etc.
