Will Civ3 work with new Windows XP? Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

Windows XP will come out in October. I hear it will have some wonderful features. I'm thinking of upgrading.

But will Civ3 (or Civ2 for that matter) work with it?

Anyone know?

Why wouldn't it? Unless there is an ugly and unnoticed bug, which I believe Firaxis would repair as soon as they found out about it, Civ 3 definitely should run on Windows XP, since it has already been said to run on 2000 - XP is just a newer version of 2000 with even better compatibility with various programs. Bear in mind that virtually all Windows games already run on Windows 2000, especially newer ones, and including the venerable Civ 2, at least on my computer... so I wouldn't hesitate to say you will be able to play both Civ 2 and Civ 3 on XP.

Civ 2 works on XP.

And they are designing Civ3 on Windows 2000. XP is based on 2000 so it would be very unlikely that it would not work.
