Support Apolyton, buy Civilization: The Boardgame

Seems a bit wierd that railroads can move ships.

I am very close to working out a model where a number of cities can produce for another city. IE: 4 cities work together to pool shields for one object.

Sort of like, construct different components in each city, then transport them via rail to the main city and screw the components in place.

well, the ship idea is along the lines of what you were describing, where all the parts are constructed, sent to the destination, and then attached together. i have the player just transport the entire ship to simplify it. the real difference is that construction isn't split between cities like in the concept you're describing. your idea sounds really cool btw, i hope it turns out good (like with an easy to use interface and all).

the official release of civiliza demo 4 is currently set for this Friday, December 14th (probably real late at night). that means i have two days to get loads of last-minute features and bug fixes in.

at this point, it doesn't look like diplomacy is going to make it into the game. however, all the details and designs are worked out - they just need to be coded into the game. i think what i will do is include it in a demo 4B release in a week or two, along with bug fixes.

a full list of changes and additions in demo 4 will be posted when it comes out
