Possible to start a second game while the first plays out? Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

Just thought of this; when I went to the Stardock some time ago, they had multiple games, all running at once.

Would it be possible to start a new, open game, for anyone that wants in (with whatever stats we kinda decide on), and then let the die-hards finish off the tournament game at the same time?

Right now we have to enter "A" to play on the tournament game at Firaxis; would it work to also have a "B" game?

Just a thought...

That'd be a great idea. REmember the last open game? we had tons of players, and a game B would be great for evils.
