As I expected... it all came down to Foor Axice. Unable to take it, it was eventually turned against us, and S>A has now lost all our gains. Oh well. I am going on a bit of a vacation for the next few days, and I figured now is a good time to quit.
Rather than say silly things about quitting tradewars forever while I am still upset, I will just say one thing. Dan, please don't place things like "Foor Axice" in the next game. They are unfair to those who aren't lucky enough to find them first.
I apologize to my partner Talon Karrde for my self-destruction, which essentially leaves him all alone. Unfortunately, Apolyton has basically got two shielded planets now, and as I have demonstrated in the past, there is no way to take these kinds of planets in this game. I would rather self-destruct than have them dictate surrender terms to us.
I needed a break anyways, I guess... congrats to Apolyton for using their advantage wisely, and ultimately coming back from the brink of defeat. I personally learned a lot this game, as I believe others did as well, and I hope that some of this knowledge can be implemented to balance and improve the quality of the next tradewars game.
