Number of turns in a game Support Apolyton, buy Civilization 2

I want to change the number of turns, so I have more time playing the game but I found no such option in the rules.txt file. Is it possible to do this?

Another question, does the difficulty level affect the number of turns?

can't help you with the first question but the second is YES,difficultylevel has an influence on the number of turns you have.The higher the level the lower the number of turns.

(first question is probably something you should ask scenario builders)

Number of Turns

Chieftain or Warlord = 550
Prince = 500
King = 450
Emperor or Deity = 400
