	What will be the next civ of the week? Browse Apolyton AD-FREE

The Russians have been the Civ of the Week this time, but what will be the next?

There are only 6 civs left and their misteries will be revealed in the next six weeks.

We all know who will be their leaders and their capital cities but, What will be their specific units?

What are your predictions?

Gotta be Japanese or Zulus, since they are going in order of UU power. The last two will be the Germans and Americans.

It'll probably be the French or the Japanese ( I voted the former ).

My reasoning? They'll do the English, American and Germans to coincide with the release dates and probably the Zulus after cause, sadly, few people care about them. They're not a name that rushes out at you and they don't have a super kickass / unknown unique unit.

On that fron of the ones we've got left its :

Americans - F-15
Germans - Panzer Tank
English - Man of War / Ship of the Line / Whatever. A big floatey thing with cannons.
Japanese - Samuri ( duh! )
Zulus - Impi

But what is it for the French? Is it a cavalier? Is it a colonial (rifleman)? Is it a Templar?

Probably something to do with the medievil times as they seem to be carefully doing the units to coincide with the golden ages.

I voted for the French. But don't trust me; the only one I've predicted right so far was the Russians (and I'm so fucking proud of myself for that one! ).

I'm not so sure they're going in order of UUs-what about the dread impis? Shouldn't they have been up with the Jaguar Warriors, etc?

And just a thought (and I'm prob. forgetting something, like Dan already confirming it) but might the Japanese UU be the Zero? I seem to recall a unit that looked awful zeroesque. Of course, there was also a MiG floating around at one point. If it were up to me, I'd make it samurai, but hey...

Let's see...US HAS to be on the release date...there are entirely too many European civs left. I say vive la belle France! Out with the Pink!

I'm pretty sure it was confirmed as samurai. And about the MiG. It looks like that's not in the game but even if it were it would probably being the Russian UU seeing how they invented it and all...

My predictions about the specific units are:

Americans - F15
Zulus - Impi
Germans - Panzer
French - Musketeer
Japanese - Samurai.
English - Man of war, but I am not sure, it was more proper a ship, like a clipper or a frigate.

According to the past:

Babylonians (ancient) (green)
Egyptians (ancient) (yellow)
Greeks (ancient/classical) (orange)
Chinese (ancient - contemporanean) (blue)
Persians (ancient) (blue)
Indians (ancient) (purple)
Aztecs (ancient - modern era) (yellow)
Romans (ancient/classical) (white)
Russians (middle age) (white)

So I think, the next civ of the week could be the Japanese because of their feudalism era. But the French are very likely too.
Something is true, the Americans will be the last.

I doubt the Americans will be last. It would make more sense for Firaxis to release them just around the release date.

As much as I would like to see the Germans (Fancy doing Russia before any other European nation!), I regret that I think it will be Japan. They've been a long time coming now, and heavens! Cossacks with muskets don't predate Samurai!

But who could have expected the Iroquois and Aztecs would come when they did. Here's what I think.

Japanese - Tokugawa Ieyasu - Samurai (Pikemen)
French - Joan of Arc - Royal Musketeer (Musketeer)
English - Elizabeth I - Man of War (Galleon)
Zulus - Shaka Zulu - Impi (Warrior?)
Germans - Otto von Bismarck - Panzer (Armor)
Americans - Abraham Lincoln - F15/16 (Fighter or Stealth Fighter)

Although most of people think that Zulus or Japaneses will be the next civ of the week, the ones who think the French will be has increased in number.

Will be Joan d'Arc the next revealed leader?

or perhaps Tokugawa?

even the misterious Shaka... Remember that Shaka was the leader who apeared the last according to Apolyton's forum.

I voted Japanese just because they're cool and we haven't had an Asian Civ (unless you count the Russians) in awhile. Mostly, because I think they're cool. Plus after the Samurai you start getting into not so ancient UU's, which I don't think Dan is gonna do.

We all agree what will be the specific units of each civ but here are a more interesting question:

What will be their statistics? How many attack points will be the German panzer or how many squares will be able to go through per turn?

That's gonna be a little difficult considering we don't even know the stats for what a Panzer comes from!. But I'm guessing it'll have a higher attack because of the whole Blitz! tactic.

And I think Samurai will be knights with higer attack (5.3.2)

I'm betting that F-15's will have a higher movement because... those things are FAST

The Japanese Samurai had two main weapons.

The Katana - the best sword in the world... ever.

And the Daikyu (sp?) - a bow specifically designed for being fired on horsetop.

They also had a short sword type weapon, the name of which escapes me at the moment. I think They will be mounted...

Besides, what would they do to the Swordsmen? The Samurai weren't exactly faster (at least when on foot) and they've already had an Attack and Defense increase.

I meant my list was random, though I suspect the method of choosing the COTW is random as well
