Everytime I visit civ3.com there is that stupid countdown to release mocking me and every non-US customer. Why in an age of globalisation and mass marketing do US game companies still think they can ignore and belittle us poor suckers in the rest of the world?
Ideally I'd like a second non-US countdown on the official game site as well, how hard would that be?
Oh, and don't give me the old "Firaxis say Civ 3 will be out everywhere on the same day." They know less than we do of what Infogrames is planning.

I got to tell you Crouchback, my heart goes out to all you non-North Americans who won't be getting the game at the same time as us.

I don't feel sorry at all. Computer game snobs who look down upon console games may not care about this, but I have to wait *many* months before a release of a Japanese game gets translated into English and it's not that big of a deal to me.

And besides, according to Civ3.com, I thought it was going to be released in the U.K. and U.S. at the same time anyway.

Thank dainbramaged13, your humanity gets me right here *points to backside*.
But I know the date we'll get the game differs from release, I'll be lucky to get it from amazon within three days of the game coming out. What gets me is the stupid clock which takes no account of the decision not to release the same game on the same day the world over.

I suppose you care about the look of your dress, home furnitures, car... I'm not speaking about forced/induced fashion false needs, I'm speaking about visual satisfaction you get from a product, when it already fit the original purpose.
You usually spend good cash for an object as appealing as a "lemon box". The whole Industrial Design concept exist around this argument. But we are digressing.
Well, it seems the start of similar debate on graphics role in TBS as Civ III Noooo, not another one, I beg you!
Edited: and this was my last post... as Prince
Funny, I almost never really checked for my forum rank, until a few days ago I realized I'll be promoted King just before the Civ III release: that will be a bunch of days before my next birthday, too. Call it a lucky coincidence!
