Partisans - what pic is better? Suffering from ads?

Okay, lemme know. The pics are from BeBro, very slightly modified by me. For some reason they do not totallu convince me. Remember this is for early XIX cent. Anyone has got anything better or is willing to draw a brand new one for me (hola paco, hola fiera... )?

I like them very much, I would prefer the one with a gun but I don´t like the gun it looks as a black line if you change it a bit...so I don´t vote for anyone

Es mejor que salgan con un arma de fuego, estilo trabuco, que es como yo me imagino al típico guerrillero español. De las dos que tienes ahí, me gusta más la del sable, aunque quizá sea más adecuada para un líder (tipo El Empecinado), que paar el Partisan genérico.

Otro detalle que estaría bien: un gorro al estilo de las barretinas o como se llamen.

I still haven't voted for anyone, mainly because
a) I agree with fiera, the man with the gun is better, but the gun seems a black stick
b) You said partisans from early XIX century, but where? Spain, France, the whole Europe?
