Got spare money?

A couple things from the Trade entry jumped out at me:

- Ports can definitely be blockaded.
- Trade routes overseas must be able to trace a visible water route.
- You must be able to "safely traverse" the visible water route. I wonder if that touches on the use of privateers to block overseas trade....

I can see forts and mines but no colonies. All the land tiles are insode one culture border or another so colonies would be absorbed.

Interesting info about Trade. What is meant by enemy navy blockading harbors? Does it mean that harbor can be blocked somehow without taking the city, or what?

A blockade should be possible by parking next to the city and issuing the order. Historically you would anchor just outside the ports cannon range and fire on any ships entering or leaving. In Civ3 this may be tricky because I imagine you have to be in the adjacent tile so catapults etc may still be able to get you.
