	Do Non-Army Stacked Units Still Die Together? Enter the AD-FREE zone

I like the rule in SMAC that stacked units take damage when a unit in the stack is killed, but they are not automatically killed along with it like in CIV2. I know that in CIV3 there are armies that do not have this disadvantage, but I was wondering if stacked units not in an army follow the SMAC rule or the CIV2 rule.

I sure hope the SMAC rule!

Any input would be appreciated!

Other threads below have addressed this. Apparently it is one unit at a time for Civ III. With an army, units will break off before death and let the next of their group join battle. Without an army, the units fight to the death, one after the other. Some non military and bombardment units can be captured. Could make this very interesting indeed.
