I would assume random, the only fair way. I don't think just cause you seeded first or last you should be able to pick your country or get delegated what is left over. The top seven made it and that is all that really counts, countries should be assigned randomly.

I imagine that the assignments will be made randomly or by submitted preferences. Maybe you could use the seeding order of preliminary round finish as a tiebreaker? Ultimately it will be up to the GM. Speaking of which, we'll need a GM, preferably one who's not playing in the game!

Hmm... seeing that Defiant and RUFFHAUS are likely advancers (and tourney GMs), I suppose I'll volunteer to GM the final (although if somebody else wants to do it, they're free to do so). Although it is really highly unlikely I'll actually do so ya know, my fleet really does have an incredible plan for taking over Europe in a year and thus placing.

I can also assure the public that the chances of Sahib's country being tragically wiped off the map by a freak meteor hit in Fall 1901 are actually rather smaller than previous predictions.

Hehehe, VGR, good one. Thing is, if you stabbed Austria, you´d either lose one of your centers or you would be unable to take one from Italy. Either way, by stabbing Austria you´d not gain a singel SC. Isn´t that a compfortable position to be the gentlemen?

(PS: since writtten words can be misunderstood: this is not meant to offend you, I really enjoy playing this game and I liked your message about stabbing Austria)
