	playing with yourself Got spare money?

I was going to buy Civ3 3 until i found out that it does not have multiplayer now i will just download the warez version of it.
Thats about all its worth for a try.... its so boring playing singleplayer, this type of game really has to be played multiplayer for a challenge .... I play CTP2 multiplayer at least 3 times a week and the game kicks ass i can't believe the guys that did Civ3 could not work out how to get multiplay working, what does that tell you about the rest of the game ?
I read some threads from some people who say they don't play multiplayer only singleplayer... these people must have a boring life or they are afraid of a challange .. maybe they just can't handle losing to another human.... I have never played CTP2 on the internet and i don't know why people think that multiplay has to invole the internet ? LAN is the way to go ... there is no better way to play this type of game and it only takes a few hours to play the whole game through once you play it this way you will never have to sit in front of your computer pretending that you like it singleplayer ever again.... playing with yourself

Most of us have something call a life to take the time to get a multiplayer game together, let alone finish it. Are you that desperate for attention you are looking to get flamed.

I agree with you GMOsco! IMO, once you've experienced a LAN game, the single-player game can't compare.

However, since I am an avid Civer, I've still preordered the game. I should be able to learn a few "tricks" before the MP Edition comes out (6 months from now - hopefully); then I can try these tricks out on my roommate in a MP LAN game.

Of course, my roommate will be doing the same....

No, the point is we HAVE a life. Civ games take hours. I have a family and other hobbies that take up my time.

But seriously, don't start stiring people up by slagging SP. I have never played Civ MP in my life, It just does not appeal to me, too slow. I only ever play MP with things like HALFLIFE and it's MODS, I just can't be AR*ED with you take a turn I take a turn, I tried Talonsofts Western Front like that once and hated it. I know you are talking about LAN, but not everyone can play over LAN. Just because you don't like SP does not give you the right to tell people what to do and not what to do!.
Accept the fact that people have different points of view, and by posting that you are winning over Nobody. SP's will be playing away like mad in the next few months while the hardcore MP's will be *****ing away.

Oh, one other thing. I see you have only been registered for under a month, are you a civer from the early days or have you just wondered in to spread the word about LAN.?

If you ask me stop looking for warez sites and install one of those file sharing programs like Win MX. Most of warez sites are just full of porn and other stuff.

Yes i myself do warez sometimes. Still i think that it's stypid. Actually i can get any new game or movie but if i really want something i buy it. I've played Civ 1 since it was released to Amiga 500 and I can say that SP is NOT boring. And yes I have played multiplayer too. It's fun but still since games take so long i really don't have the time to play multiplayer games. (nor the money)
