Getting Aggressive Inflate your Upload Space

How do you get the AI to act in an aggressive manner? I recently created a scenario where China started out at war with Russia, and had huge forces outside several high objective Russian cities, which were lightly defended. Instead of attacking with everything they had, the Chinese launched a few minor attacks, then beat a hasty retreat despite their overwhelming superiority. How would I go about getting the Chinese to attack? Would changing the units home city to NONE help? (at present all units have home cites a fair distance from the front line).

Make sure you edit the Russian and Chinese kings in the cheat menu, so that each turn they are in a vendetta. also, set each king's attitude towards the other to 100. Lastly, include a NEGOTIATION event in your events file so they can't make peace.

If these don't do the trick, include a MOVEUNIT event in your events file so that each turn the Chinese move all their forces to a point far across the Russian territory, so that they have to fight their way there.

If you are unsure how to do these, check in the FW rules or one of the Apolyton FAQs.

Put an end to popups!

Another idea is to have the Chinese "move into" the Russian cities by setting the human player to be the Chinese and 'drag' the 'go' command for the Chinese units so their destination is set as the target Russian city. Co-ordinate the attack so a blitzkrieg is achieved on a single turn. This is admittedly a short-term solution for the first few moves. The following image is demonstrative of the sort of thing I'm trying to outline...

Support Apolyton, buy GURPS/ Alpha Centauri

Also make sure that both civs have well defended cities. If several cities of the chinese don't have defenders in them, those soldiers fighting the Russians will return to the undefended chinese cities.

Full PM-box? Change here!

Case,
In addition to changing the attitudes and treaties settings, give each of the antagonists the worst reputations possible. Otherwise, if they have good reputations, they might just negotiate a cease fire or peace treaty after the first city is taken. With bad reputations it's much harder to negotiate.
