I noticed that in one scenario you were given the option of playing as the Barbarians. I'm just wondering, is there a utility that can do that?

Playing as the barbarians? That sounds like an interesting challenge! What are the strengths and weaknesses of playing as the barbarians? I know that when the barbarians are playing as themselves, they have a number of combat disadvantages, and units disband themselves occasionally. Is this the case when a human is playing as the barbarians? Has anyone ever conquered the world as the barbarians? Has anyone ever reached Alpha Centauri as the barbarians?
