They not only released two days late, they failed to ship my order until TODAY and even 2nd day air won't get to my house until Monday!

I feel like a Mac user!

Yep I learned the lesson about Amazon with Diablo II.

Then of course I found out Diablo II was awful and suddenly wasn't so mad at Amazon. Regardless they'll never see another cent from me -- would really like them to go out of business. This happens to Amazon orderers with every game.

Anyway, Civ3 is mostly worth the wait so just sit tight

They did sooooo good with DVD's I wasn't worried about it. Yet, with games, they screw up.

I used to only use EB. EB will have my business again -- and for a long time.

Edit: My only saving grace is that it left Delaware, so doesn't have to go far to New Jersey.

It was a gift certificate back on my birthday in july, so what the hell. But before, I had such problems getting baldur's gate that I cancelled my order.

Hey, I'm in North Carolina...you think it's going on the plane/truck tonight? If so, we both might have it tomorrow.

I don't know how fast UPS can deliver once it gets to a new hub....let's hope!

Maybe since they move stuff so well, they can move Civ3 to my house!

Amazon has been great for books. It is the only place I can get some more obscure pieces (just you try to find a copy of Sampsons Writing Systems: A Linguistic Introduction or anything by Nietzche at most bookstores...YOU CAN'T). It did well with videos, my father's copy of Bedazzled (original version with P. Cook and D. Moore) came in a very timely fashion. But as far as games are concerned...d'oh! I'm saving my 10$ discounts for books, at least those will arrive on time.

I checked my tracking number on UPS, and they said I'd get it by tomorrow (seeing how Delaware is so close to NJ). Perhaps you too will get it tomarrow as well... check UPS's site.

Dont hold your breath. My copy arrived by UPS at the Oakland Airport (which is a _10_ minute drive from me!) on Wednesday night. I figure, great they pick it up and drive it the short 7 miles or so and drop it off on Thursday morning. Right? I guess not. Its been sitting in the oakland hub for the last 24 hours. It managed to be scanned a couple time but assides from that its gone no where. I guess is you order 3 day shipping they they go out of their way to make sure it takes the full 3 days At least ill have it for the weekend
