Can't Get Foreign Advisor to Work.... Support Apolyton, buy Call to Power 2

Can somebody help me out, here. I seem to be having some difficulty with the Foreign Advisor. I don't know if I'm doing something or not doing something, but all I get on the Foreign Advisor screen are the heads of the various civs (including my own). There's the tiny dot indicating that I have an embassy, and that's it. I'm not getting info on current diplomatic status or on trade links between civs. I've clicked and unclicked every possible combination in the Treaty Box. I just don't get it???

If I understand your problem, you want to see what civs are at peace, war, allied, etc. In order to do so you must shift+left click on the heads of the civs and lines should appear showing what the union or unions are among the civs. Peace should be a blue line, and other lines should correspond to the text color in the box. You can view Treaties and Trades in this manner. Hope this helps!

Thanks for trying to help. I did what you suggested. For some reason, I'm not getting lines between the heads. Interestingly enough, though, the heads will get different colored outlines around them.... I mention this in hopes that it will mean more to someone else than it does me. "Sigh" I sure hope this doesn't mean something unpleasant about the copy I bought or about my system. It seems strange that, in spite of all my looking, I can't find anyone else with this problem

This is the post that I've been searching for. I have had the same problem that Matieu is having. I'll try the SHIFT-Left click thing after work and report on the results.

Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

Not seeing the lines in the foreign advisor (make sure you've selected some things to view first!) is likely an OpenGL driver issue.

If you've got Win95/98/Me, check out GLSetup . They'll set you up with the proper OpenGL drivers for your video card and it seems to fix the issue.

Win 2000/XP folks need to get the OpenGL drivers from their video card manufacturer. Often these are bundled with DirectX drivers and other stuff, sometimes they're seperate. Your mileage may vary.
