Tired of delays, a new posting trick Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations: Deluxe Edition

When you finish a post, it sometimes takes forever to take and reload the thread.

Next time, try this trick.
Once you've submitted the post, after a bit (not sure of the exact time, which changes due to speed) JUST HIT STOP.
Now hit back, and reload. Voila your post has been added and it's much faster. The only downside is that the posting on the forum thread list doesn't update that you posted. (which means that's the activity that is taking so long) This will lighten the load on the server since it won't have to perform this activity.

Back to our regularly scheduled delay.

You're the master techie now Mark? Where did that answer come from? If I hit stop, it stops the activity. How could that not
lighten things. Now the reload might consume the exact same resources, but since it's much faster, I have to think not.

Even if not, it saves time for the casual poster in these stressing times.
