Esta thread es quizás de las más "caóticas" que he visto por aqui: not only bad jokes but some references to local tv rubbish programs, as well as not very "regular" spanish expresions. Do not blame your spanish if you don't understand everything, it's getting really hard to follow.

Here’s my best shot .... creo que el nombre tercio viene del hecho de que los tercios se componían de 3 partes, un grupo de piqueros, un grupo de arcabuceros, y un grupo de hombres con espadas y escudos, ¿me equivoco?

Los tercios españoles mantuvieron su imbatibilidad en Europa hasta 1643.
