It would cut down on spam. Maybe just 1 pence/cent per post, you know, something not very much...but look at the OT: that would generated thousands in revenue from that alone.

Perhaps users should be charged every time they advance from settler to chieftain, chieftain to warlord, prince to king etc. With costs based on the level in question

settler -> chieftain = $1
chieftain -> warlord = $2
warlord -> prince = $5
prince -> king = $10
king -> emperor = $15
emperor -> deity = $20

Good idea! Let's make it retrospective!

The only prob I foresee is people actually trying it on to get PCRs...

I like that idea of an 'investment' in time - and money. It's a bit like people with large beer guts - that's literally thousands of pounds/dollars/markka whatever invested in those!

When you look at it that way - they almost take on the status of a living work of art!

Same with posts - people would show that they had earned the right to be an Emperor or Deity!

To put things into perspective, the monetary cost of attaining Deityship would only be say $100 if charged @ 1c a post - not much when you consider the investment of a more precious commodity - time...

We could hardcode the current post scores into the profiles and then role the clock back to 0 for everyone - then we'd see who really put their money where their mouth is...
