	" Call To Publish 3" Support Apolyton, buy GURPS/ Alpha Centauri

First of all, hello everyone !
I am the one who never contributes to the forum, but spends all day looking for the " Soviet T-34 tank in duck egg blue.gif " in the units section

I have not bought Civ 3 yet ( a lesson from Call to Publish 1+2) but i was expecting the ultimate Civ - Ultimate in playing AND editing. When I logged on I thought I would be bombarded with billions of Civ 3 scenarios and comments like "addicted" and
" sleepless".
But from what I've read in this forum, I have got to say I am gutted, not just for me, but for those of you who went out and bought an expensive lunchbox.

The really interesting point to note is software piracy.
WHO ARE THE PIRATES ??????
Firaxis seemed to have joined EA Sports and Rage Software in the long line of "software pirates" - they dangle the franchise in front of you,snatch the cash - then promise the patch. Chop Chop Chop.

Oh well, what can I say - better to have loved than never !
Civ 2 is still out there and its bloody great - and no small thanks goes to all you scenario builders out there - keep them coming !!!

Check the Strategy Forum. You'll find a lot of good information there that may change your mind. It seems that the General forum has turned into the Trash Civ3 forum now.
By the way, have you read any of the reviews on 'respectable' game sites? Gamespot and IGN paint Civ3 in a very positive light!

yippie, yet another person who not only judges civ3 but also makes names for it and calls the developers "pirates" without playing the game for a single second....

I think it's pretty legal to name people like this whiners and cryers. Why do get people angry if I aim at people like this ?

CIV III could suck but even then it would be better than any of the Call To Power series.

When i got the game i was a bit disapointed but after thinking a while i realised why i was. Because i was expecting to get the same excitement i have had when i first discovered TBS by playing Colonization,CIV II and MOO2. Can't live that again.

Game is good. Needs a few patchs. Graphics and AI are improved.

Only realy annoying stuff is lack of MP and the editor, but that will be solved with time.

If I had played ctp1 & 2 I'd probably be mad too
