I have a 300mghz computer with 128meg ram with a 32meg radeon video card. I am running the game with no sound and unit anmiation off(but i still see them move).
somone told me to change my resolution size and I might get better performance. How do I do that. I went into preferences and its not there. I dont see it in the manual either.
Can you fellow Civers help me?
Thanks
Davor

I know how to change my monitor size. I have tried that but Civ 3 keeps playing in 1024x768.
I thought he ment the display size of the game itself.

I assumed he wanted a higher resolution. I'm playing on a 21" monitor capable of 1600x1200 and the game crashes if I reset the resolution after startup.
Another thread suggests that there is a ReadMe item on this. Suggests that we're looking at a bug as opposed to a 'feature'.

Er, wait. That was a bonehead reply. I read my problem into his question. My apologies.

thanks for your replies. i thought if i had a lower resolution the game would run slower for me. i will try and bear it for a while or i will have to go to a med or small map with 8 civs instead of 16.
love the 16 civ feature
