	i can make my game crash on command Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

its lots of fun.

it appears to be something with the map.

the game will crash if i do the following:

undercover the piece of land SE of paris. (the dark strip)

now how i uncover this land doesn't matter.. the game can crash if i do a recon, drive a unit over there, sail a ship by, or trade maps with anyone who has that piece filled in on their map.

i'm running win xp fully patched as of 11/12/01 on a dell latitude laptop 1 gig, 512 mb ram 1600x1200 res geforce 2.

the save is a touch to big to post. i'm playing on a 256x256 auto generated map.

leave a message here and i can email the save game ziped.

I've had similar problems, and I've read some others have as well. I think it may be related to the 256x256. Have you made any other changes to the rules?

	Help yourself to an AD-FREE life

i made a few changes just tinkering around.

changes i made:

imported my old cities.txt (from civ 2 TOT)

changed the default # of cities per map

changed the map generator to make 256x256 maps

and i think thats it. i'll send that file off here later today.

Thar be cats too. Stay off me keyboard! She sits right on my right mouse button evry now and then. it jams my mouse and slows down the computer.
