	How do I zoom? Full PM-box? Change here!

I cannot zoom in my game for whatever reason. The manual says to press "z". I've tried various keyboard shortcuts but no luck. I've also tried in the main game window and while under aerial view. Without zooming in, it makes the intricate graphics and unit animation quite pointless.

I really don't have an answer... but just wanted to say...

Aerial View is horrible! I have a city size 31 and a city sized 6 and aside from the improvements I've built, they look like they're populated by about 100 people in randomly placed shacks and one skyscraper (in the size 31 city)

what is up with that?

I think there are only 2 levels of zoom, the "close-up" view the game starts in and the "way-way-out" view. You can flip between the two using "z" and the menu options.
