If I have a city surrounded by Jungle and I clear it in Ancient Times after I discover Replaceable Parts and Rubber will a rubber resource show up in the deforested Jungle if one was initally placed there during the map generation? Or will it not since it is no longer a Jungle square? Does that question make sense? I know you can clear jungle squares with luxuries and the luxury will stay but I was wondering about this strategic resource question.

You can clear jungle in 2000BC and rubber will still show up on the grassland square in modern times when you discover the tech to get it. You don't have to worry about destorying resources when you clear forest or jungle.
