What is it that makes Civ 3 so fun??? I don't know what exactly it is, but it makes for some good gaming

you would think with all these bugs everyone is saying about the game wouldn't be fun.

then I think back to ctp2. It seemed to have all this cool stuff when I bought it. But it wasn't fun

I can't grasp exactly what the difference is.

Civ III don't have all those complex and corny units like CTP so-called stealth units. I don't like the idea of slavery, televangelism and commercial franchise into a game. It looks the game too goofy if it wants to incorporate all the little stuff happening in the world while ignoring the basic points (believable AI, Civilizations with personalities).On the other hand, I like the CTP 2 team's courage to extend their game to Post-Modern Age, unlike the Firaxians/Ex-Microprose who get stuck with the Modern Age.

Just to show that innovation and creativity are needed but not in excess and indiscriminating like what the Activision CTP team did.

Boy those units SUCKED

I would say game testing (In house) by Fraxis made the final version fun and playable, but how did they miss that Air Superiority Bug!!!
