Because civ3 is not windowed I use my other PC to communicate on the net when immersed in Civ3!

does it not allow you to set floating status on and also why can't you just load your deity icq on the other computer?

I don't think so, Makeo. Civ 3 blocks everything out I think.

I keep deity on the main PC so I can use it as deity - just a bit simpler, for me! Harder for you

You can alt-tab to it freely without problems. However ICQ wont *bing* when a message arrives because Civ3 consumes your sound. However you can set ICQ so that itll bump you out of the game when one arrives (I find that annoying though)

alt tab windows key if you have nothing running in the background of the game......should bring up your start button if you have one....works for me D!

I can play Civ 3 and when someone sends an ICQ message I gat the usually sound , I hit ALT TAB and the message is displayed on top of the game and when I answer the message I just continue playing.

I guess I am lucky

Alt Tab only worked for me sometimes. I found the Windows buttton brought up my task bar every time, so I'm using that. Works like a charm - I can surf the net and get do my icq no problem. I'm much happier since I worked that one out.
