Last night I finally won a squeeker through a diplomatic victory on a gamble. This leads to my question, when will a computer opponent vote for someone and when will they abstain?
In my game, I was second in culture (maybe third) had a weak military and was behind in tech. The UN vote went 6 for me to two for the Egyptians (who lead in tech and culture, and were second in total power). I can draw some conclusions from my game, but they don't really complete the equation.
