Here I am begging for help
My computer spec is well above the game spec so that can't be the error. Installation runs without a hitch, I rebooted for good measure. Now when I try to run it, it displays the splash screen saying Civilisation 3 for like 1/2 second then appears to quit. Or I should say, it *does* quit - my computer continues to function fine. It just does this every time I try to run it, and am for obvious reasons peeved of, I wanna play Civ3
My computer spec - Athlon 1.2, 256mb RAM, DVD drive, 4.1gb hdd space free (after installation), Creative Geforce2 Pro graphics card, Sound Blaster Live Player 5.1 sound card.
Any help would be appreciated, cheers peeps.

What operating system are you using? What make/model CD-ROM, DVD do you have?
Sounds like you are running Win95/98 and cannot get past the SafeDisc2 copy protection for the game. I have 2 computers both with the same Toshiba SD-M1502 16x/40x DVD/CD-ROM and the computer running Win98 cannot play any safeDisc2 game while the one running Win98SE plays everything flawlessly...go figure.

I run Windows ME, and have a Samsung 302B DVD & CD-RW drive in one bay, and an LG 48x CD-ROM drive - sorry, don't know any thing more about this drive.
