You can use one of a zillion image processing program to do the conversion. Since you are unlikely to use gimp, which is free software under *nix, I'd suggest you to take a look at Tucows. Look for programs that can do image format conversions.

I don't know how you can manage to mess up something as simple as an image tag, but every time I view one of your failed attempts my browser messes up and I have to reboot.

I imagine you have to convert pictures into either .jpg or .gif formats for them to work here.

MS Paint can convert to jpg just fine. Open up a BMP and save as JPG, you donīt have any control over the compression rate and such, but I think itīll do just nicely.

Arg I do all this!!!

I try changing the name from Example.bmp to Example.jpg.

Then I tried saving it as JPG and such.

Steve are you drinking and posting. You have to do more than just change the name of the file. You have to actually change the format (for real...not just the name.)

Don't switch the name manually. Just open Paint and "save as" a .jpg file.
