	Hive timeline Support Apolyton

Howzit everyone

I've come up with the Hive timeline. I haven't used actual star and planet names because I've decided that ALL hive planets are to be renamed according to Hive policies. Also I've tried to incorporate what has been said about the Hive so far to help evolve the relations between the Hive and the rest of the "factions".

As per Sprayber's request, I have posted the timeline in the
'Sign-In' thread. Where do I post some of the Bio's for Hive characters?

and prolly the centralized control of Terran Alliance (The Sol EU or more like NATO, if you will) since it is located on Earth.

And that's just about it.
We could arrange a Titan revolt in the starters to get some more action?

Wow, I hope I didn't cause any trouble here. I was just saying I hadn't read all the stuff associated with playing in BAC and I didn't feel comfortable writing new stuff (i.e. playing) not reading stuff, if you know what I mean.

But saying that I did like the Hive & Morgan timeline. Should you maybe start a timeline thread, ThreadGod Sprayber? I could slip the two new timelines into the collected one.

You know how DarkCloud is part timing the University, could I do the same with the Gaians? Then I wouldn't feel obligated to read too much and could still get up to mischief if and when I am allowed to.

Thanks Alynzia for the input. I'm happy that people are, at the very least, satisfied with the Hive timeline. I've tried to not 'step on the other factions toes' when thinking of it.

I for one, would really appreciate it if you could combine the timeline into one. I also like the idea of starting a timeline thread. But it all depends on "Chairman Sprayber" (just joking, sir!)

Everyone. Write as much as you want on this. This is up to you all. I’m just a little part of this whole thing. I started the initial thread but so much of what this has become has been because of you all. This is not as restrictive as it seems. The timeline and FTL speeds and distances and locations are just to keep everyone on the same page to start with. Where this goes is up to our collective imaginations. I will post a complete timeline at the beginning of the thread. It will be on the first page so if ever you need to look at it again, it will be there. When LMP gets ready, I will also give the distances, locations, speeds and the basic ship classes on the first post as well. It should be taken as only a guide, a reference. Your imaginations should fill in the most important parts. You don’t have to read every single post if you don’t want to. Write as much as you have time for or as much as you feel is right. Just know that there will be some interactions in thread. But not a lot if you don’t feel up to it. We all have lives outside of this. This is meant for fun and maybe a release for things that you wish you could do and wish you could say.

Yes, you are allowed to make comments as a reader, but if you want to come back as a player, then that's fine with me too. I really don't mind you going part time, it looks like I may have to do the same myself - at least for a while...

By the way, have you thought about the alliance I suggested? We could have a great time snooping around in everyone else's "internal affairs" and then sticking up for each other when they get mad about it...

Here are additions that I put on my timline to reflect those of others and to take me to 2700


2634 Colonel Santiago is severely injured in combat training exercises. Decision is made to put her in cryo sleep for an extensive regenerative treatments. Major Kessel is recalled from a diplomatic mission on the Drone home word and is appointed temporary leader of Spartan Federation.

2636 Colonel Santiago is brought out of Cryo sleep. She makes the decision to give up command of Spartan Federation to take up other things. Kessel is appointed official leader of the Spartan Federation and promoted to Colonel.

2640 Colonel Kessel begins Spartan fleet buildup. Replacement of older style vessels is ordered and research into new weapons systems are undertaken. Kessel enterers into secret negotiations with Data Tech operatives which will involve Data Angel missions to University and Peacekeeper labs. Kessel reaffirms Spartan commitment for a Data Angel home world.

2650 New ships begin to be commissioned in Spartan shipyards run by Free Drone workers. New innovative designs by Drone engineers allow Spartans to be able to switch components with far greater ease then before.

2660 Comprehensive review of Spartan Military Preparedness is issued. It is recommended that the Spartan fleet be enlarged to meet the threats from the Hive, Peacekeepers, and the Bree. Spartans and Peacekeepers exchange fire over the Morganite home world. Confrontation began over Spartan commanders refusal allow right of way for Peacekeeper convoy of settlers bound for a new planet. Both sides sustain damage but withdraw from battle for any escalations. Spartans file a protest accusing Peacekeepers of intentionally causing the incident.

2672 Sparta sends delegation to Earth to initiate formal relations with the Terrans. Sparta finds a nightmare of factions and sub factions. Spartans open relations with Mars Combine in hopes of gaining influence in Sol system. Santiago is allowed to visit the cities of New Los Angeles and Mexico City.

2675 Sparta tries to open relations with the various Pirate groups roaming throughout space. Attempts are largely unsuccessful. Spartans note that Pirate activity has moved more into Peacekeeper space. Mostly due increased PK trade routes.

2681 Spartans sign extension to Free Drone contract to build Spartan vessels. Spartan AeroSpace retains rights to build small interplanetary fighters and transport vessels. Free Drone population swells on Sparta Prime due to influx of engineers and workers.

2691 Spartans begin construction of a large space stations on its frontier with Hive space.

2695 Spartan space stations is completed on Hive frontier. Defensive network goes online liking sensor posts through out the region. Spartan fleet is dispatched to maintain vigil against the hive.

BTW, inspired by Kassiopeia's excellent bios of everyone who holds any keys Terran, I was thinking of doing much the same thing for the Morganites. Also, I've been thinking of planet names for the systems I chose. I'm thinking mythic or ancient leader's names, or something to that effect.

As I said, I'll be the collony governor of Titan, couple of cycles before the rebellion against the Alliance rule. Here are my suggestions on the Titan people:

They are a multi-ethnic working community, with a low population - couple of millions? (help Kass!) The Titan people support the ideals of the early Drone Republic (before Domai's fall) and the Mars Combine government has strong backing here. The current government was set up by InEn, to organise a mining colony that grew into proper settlement, is still in place only due to the fact that the people have not found a reason to rebel - they get supplies shipped regulary from the Alliance so why starve? This might change if some other influentative faction gives the rebels support and helps them build complexes of bio-plantations, something the T. Alliance stopped building to make the Titans "addicted" and dependant on their supplies, therefore controlling the unhappy citizens (no work - no food). My suggestion is to let me be a new governor for Titan, as appointed by the Alliance, since the former governor is believed to have joined the rebels. Many political games are played until my character (who has good contacts on Mars) also chooses to join the rebels. I think it would be risky to do this but imagine this split in the Sol factions:

Team A:
Terran Alliance
Luna
The Venus Colonies - heavily depend on Earth
Neptun/Uranus Colonies? (these might crumble)

Team B:
The Belters
Mars Combine
Jovians
Saturnians (what do you call them them )

Team C: (Neutral)
The Scions

First of all, your idea is, like you said, rather feasible. You have my blessing.

But you have slightly misinterpreted me, or maybe I have been too cryptic I write a lot of this stuff in the bios, and maybe some won't pick them up there.

Anyway, Terran Alliance is not a separate faction.

All factions in Sol belong to Terran Alliance.

Think of NATO for instance. Common protection, with added economic interests and the Terran Alliance Joint Task Forces (Primary ship being the powerful Battlecruiser.)

It's a loosely built attempt to create system-wide goverment.

Now, what is the real faction of Earth is the fabled Earth Coalition. So, if you replace TA with EC in your teams, it's correct.
Just reminding, so that people won't mix up them. NATO is not the USA.

Venutian colony is independent, on Earth side. Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune have only a few colonies, under Coalition and Alliance shared control. No independence there, at least yet.

PS. If I can figure the kicks of it, Alliance/InEn/Coalition specs will have their own page. Only thing I've got so far is some starters of HTML in school.
So please, LordLMP, do put the aforementioned faction stuff up, but when I (possibly) get my page ready, replace with a link there, please.

Hello everyone,

I've been thinking, with Sprayber's help, that the Hive faction should be as secretive as possible. The only faction that thinks they know the Hive is the Gaian faction...as they are the only ones inside Hive space.

Keeping with newly crowned Emperor Yang's suspicion of the other factions, his home planet and system would be unknown to the other factions. I was thinking that the Spartan's would know generally where Hive space started, but not know what was in Hive space.....kind of like the Vorlons in Bablyon 5. What do you guys all think?

Not right away. The Spartans are very conservative when it comes to war believe it or not. They only commit when the situation is clear. Like the attack on coventry. They had planned that for decades and waited for the perfect opportunity.

First the Spartans prepared their border. then they move in a fleet. then they scout out the area and collect information. then when everything is seen they strike without mercy. They don't want a repeat of the first hive invasion.

I remember scan reading that there is going to be a Beyond Alpha Centauri website. I also remember scan reading something Sprayber wrote about factional territories in space and their arrangement.

Is the three dimesional map or some two dimensional approximations going to eventually be on that site. It is just that we are using real stars and will the stars people have picked position's correspond with how Sprayber has lined up the territories?
