Civ 3 and SimGolf Suffering from ads?

now that the simgolf demo by firaxis is out (barely a month after civ3), i wonder if, given the limited human and physical resources at firaxis, would the development of civ 3 be affected by having to develop 2 games quite concurrently?

also, why can't i list the cities in the domestic advisor screen to various categories permanently? eg, everytime list according to happiness, the list do so but as i try to move the cursor to click on the cities, the list reverts back to the predetermined set

Enter the AD-FREE zone

Civ3 is by Firaxis, SimGolf is by Maxis.

Support Apolyton or Terrorists Win

I know Firaxis and Maxis sound alike and I also know that most "sim" titled games are from Maxis, but in this case "Sid Meier's Sim Golf" actually is from Firaxis.

Got spare money?

Okay, I just checked the official website, and it turns out we're all right:

http://simgolf.ea.com/

It's a collaboration between Maxis and Firaxis.

Support Apolyton, buy Alpha Centauri

I don't think it is bad developing two games at a time. The only bad could be if they mixed up some ideas and added MP to SidGolf.

Get a bigger avatar today!

From what I understand, members of both companies worked together on the product.

In regard to how this affects other projects - there's only so many people you can coordinate when making a game. I'm guessing that Firaxis and Maxis have enough staff to focus on different projects at the same time. (The last I heard, Maxis was working on six different projects at the same time).

Speaking of SimGolf, I really didn't expect it to be anything worth my time, but I'm addicted to the demo. It's horrifyingly addictive.

Yes, I like the Demo as well. How long until the full game, so that I can build more then three holes?
