Is it possible to play after 2050? Support Apolyton, buy Civilization: The Boardgame

Sorry for the newbie wuestion but is it possible to play after the timer runs out?

yes u can. this happened to me and i got scared cuz i had a good game anyway at 2050 the computer will retire and it will say u have lost a humiliating loss or somethin like that any way it will show the demographics and it will ask u if u wanted to play more or quit k?

AFAIK, you cannot win (launch spaceship, use UN) after 2050.

Why cannot the win by 2050 be cut off? This feature is messing up the fun of the game.

Not really. You don't actually get to launch the spaceship anyway, once its built you win. Anyway, if you could still win after 2050 then it would mess up the scoring system. I'm not bothered about the scoring anyway, so I just choose a goal and play on.
