I prefer the 1st version too. The 2nd looks like they have swimming pools, not too common in the Ancient Age.
Overall they are MUCH better than what Firaxis did... they looked like gold to you... to me they looked like mushrooms.

Excellent job! I do not download mods that change the dynamics of the game but to the maps and the "look" of the game, I do. I have already downloaded snoopy's mod that changed the look of the forrests and water. Keep up the good work.
I have a question. Could you work on the barbarian villages and give them more life? I love beating up on them but the graphics are lacking. Just a request from a fellow Civ fan.

I like the 1st better too.
You think you could change the mines to something else? Isnt it weird seeing mines in grasslands and other non mountain terrain?
Maybe some building, like a sawmill or something.
