	golden Age Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

Hi,

sorry if that has been asked before but I couldn't find a hint either here or in the manual (although I read it!)

How do I get into Golden Age and what rules determine how long its gonna last.

There is a chance a golden age starts every time you do one of the following:by building a wonder that is representitive of your civilization, ie industrious wonder for industrious civs. Also, every time your civ's special unit wins a battle, there is a small chance you could spark yor golden age You only get one golden age per game.

are you sure its BY CHANCE? i thought it happens definately when you do these things.

According to the Civilopedia, if a great wonder or wonders is built that correspond to both of the civ's strengths, a Golden Age can be triggered. I will add that in my three games, I have yet to not get my golden age as the Americans early in the game. So the Civilopedia says it might happen. With unit victories it is not a sure fire event, but if you build enough units, and start winning, you should trigger the Golden Age easily enough.

when i play the egyptians and build the hanging gardens, ir's triggered one every time, never playing the americans though, my guess is that something like adam smiths or hoovers dam would trigger an american one

The probability appears to be pretty big. As in all of my games the Golden Age always starts with the first of the things, that "may trigger it". If I build wonder, I get it. The first victory of my UU - I get it.

That appears to be true. I don't know if it was supposed to be that way. I think very time I have built Colosuss(sp?) I have gotten the Golden Age.

For the wonder ga trigger, you have to build wonder(s) that correspond to both of your civ attributes. Some wonders have 2 attributes and can instantly trigger a ga for the civ that matches those attributes. As for the unit, it triggers the ga when it wins a battle against another civ and not barbarians.

When my UU wins it's first combat against any non-barb, it has triggered a Golden Age without exception.

So I guess it is not random at all. If you build it, they will come.
