Leaders Browse Apolyton AD-FREE

So has anyone figured out how leaders work? I accidentally turned one into an army by pressing "b" when he was in a city. Now I have an army, so how do I get units into this army? The civlopedia says to "load" them in like a transport. I tried this but when I move the army none of the units stay with it. Is the army only supposed to be in the stack of units for it to take effect?

Help...

Full PM-box? Change here!

You've messed it up I'm afraid. After you've built the army, you move units to the city where it is built, and a load icon will appear with their buttons down the bottom. Then you can just load the units up. AFAIK, once you move it out of the city that it was built in, you cannot load any more units or take out the old ones, which would be why yours isn't working.

Nope, the leader can be in any friendly city. (Sometimes, leaders are formed in the field, and not in any city at all.)

You load leaders just like you do transports.

don't you have to be in a city to change the leader into an army?

Yes, but it can be any friendly city. It doesn't have to be "the city where it is built" as someone stated above.

(Note: this might double post. If so, sorry.)

Of course, the downside is, you can't UNload the units nor can they be upgraded (please correct me if I'm wrong on this, I would love to be wrong this time). Don't know if this was intentional or not, but it makes an army obsolete in a short time.

Well good news about leaders.

Once you've created an army you can load up the army with units OUTSIDE of a city.

I thought I screwed up but I noticed you can still load the army when you are not in a city. Don't know if you can create an army in the field yet though.

Help yourself to an AD-FREE life

You can add units to an army anywhere if there's room. So when you build the pentagon, you can add units to existing armies without a problem.
