How do I play 16 civs on a small map? Support Apolyton, buy Civilization III: Complete

Can I? How do I play more than the 'allowed' civs of a map size?

Excuse me if this is wrong - I'm a rank newbie - but it looks as if you can change this, and a whole lot of other stuff, using the editor.

Open the file civ3mod file using the game editor provided and check out the options. I believe that you have to make sure that the option to "Use default rules" hasn't been ticked under Tools, but other than that you just open the rules section, click on the world size tab and take it from there.

However, I do seem to remember reading that modifying the rules means that you may lose access to something or other. Not sure what, but there is a manual somewhere on the disk (?) for using the editor. Hop this helps.
