Many, many turns ago I agreed to trade my luxuries to foreign powers, more than 20. But now I want to cancel in order to trade to someone else. How do I cancel without going to war? The damn Indians keep cancelling our deals, why can't I? *Whine* Please help.

Hey, this is my first post, but I thought I might be able to help....
When you initiate a dialog with your trading partner, at the bottom in the center is three links: "Clear Table", "New" and "Active". Clicking on Active will show the currently active trades. If you click on the trade you want to cancel, it will go bye-bye. That seems to be it... no confirmation or other message. Of course, you are still talking with them, so say something nice on your way out.
Hope this helps,
Jessica

To be more precise, if you have a trade going on that involves resources and/or gold per turn then the treaty doesn't just vanish but you get to renegotiate it.
Of course you then can just say "Never mind" and it will be gone.
