I dont know why, but I cant seem to post in the files forum(maybe a mod need to move it there...)

but anyway, heres the mod

Persians replaced by Turks
Imortal replaced by Janesairy (uses same graphic though)

The Turks:
Leader: Osman
Militaristic, Comercial. (Romans get Miltitaristic, Industrial, Chinese get Scientific Industrial) Start with Warrior code and alphabet.
Janesairy (Knight) A/D/M
5/2/2
51 cities, 5 great leaders
Seljuk and Tartar tribes are deleted (to much like the turks Ancestors...)

Please report any bugs, and have fun!

Would you mind if I use (some of) the data from this mod for the turkish civ on the map of Europe I made? You'll get your name in the readme.txt part.

Turks should be Militaristic (as they conquered the area from Mongol, where they started their campaign, to the Eastern Asia peninsula, where they ended up till today,) and Religious, as they became muslims from the Arabs, but they developed their own religious culture, or Commercial, since they are well known for their huge outdoor markets, the 'pazar'.
They can't be Scientific because the culture which was developed by them (architecture for example) was based in their religious tradition

Of course the Turks should be scientific. They were one of the first empires to effectively use cannon, and they completey mastered gunpowder technology long before Europeans did. Constantinople was captured because of two huge cannons that were used to destroy the walls. This was in 1453, cannons being used by Europeans or other nations at that time was unheard of.

Browse Apolyton AD-FREE

on the turkish worldpower:
the one-eyed is King amoung the blinds.

That was a period of deep decline in all areas. A number of turkish employees of the arabs did overthrow there masters and took most of their empire without violance. Just decadency everywhere, and the Turks did best come to terms with that.

About your Janesairies there is a sad history. As children they were taken from their occupied christian parents, as a kind of tax, then they were educated to kill perfectly the christian Defenders and Freedomfighters in Southeasteurope and their
occupied lands.
My turkish friend is emphazising that they did reach highest ranks in the administration - but there for they lost their identity.

But its OK to take them as a special unit because they did their job well.

Yes pretty true.
It most happend in Bosnia.

Many peole settled there, have turned to mulsim Religion so their children won't be taken from them.
These people, descendents of christions (Serbs mostly), now muslims, call themself Bosnians.
