With apologies if this has been brought up before, but what's with this JACKAL.txt file in the CivIII root?
It looks like it contains multiplayer configuration details ... but there's no MP in CivIII, is there?
Shoot, I could be coming across real dumb if it does ...

No, there is no multiplayer for Civ 3 right now, but they were planning to (and from what I understand) they are still planning to, so there are some snippets of code and files left dead for reactivation when they get down to including multiplayer.
