Problem with the SETUP.exe Browse Apolyton AD-FREE

Hello guys... Yeah ya'll at FIRAXIS.

Got a problem with the CD setup/uninstall. I recently fouled up the graphics after installing a mod and I decided to uninstall the game completely.

At first, the uninstall process goes smoothly. Completed the process, and i rebooted the system. Then, I run setup.exe... All is well until suddenly my system freezes. I had to performed a reset on the system...

Re-run the setup, but it prompt me to uninstall the program, so I naturally do that, but can't be performed since the game wasn't fully installed. I decided to delete the whole folder into the recyle bin. and re-install the game.

And the nightmare started. everytime I run setup.exe, it prompt me to uninstall, but there's nothing to uninstall. So, you guys pls help me on this by maybe doing a patch to let us install the game without us to even uninstall it in the first place.

Just let the setup.exe overrides the previous files. So, a PATCH for this is greatly acknoowledged.

Whenever I click Uninstall, they keep on uninstalling the civilization.exe file. but there's not a single .exe file left to uninstall. and I can't get the damn Setup.exe to re-install the game.

The only choice left for me is to re-format my disk.

Suffering from ads?

Hmmm... you're rite there buddy. I somehow overlook that area. But even so, I can't do anything about it. I don't even understand what those binary codings are.

How in the hell am I going to clear it out?

The only thing I can do is to re-format the whole damn C:\ drive. This is going to be a tiring job. But, that's the only choice unless somebody can tell me step by step how to clear the registries...

So , anyone of you guys knows how to locate the registry, pls tell me... CIV3 is a game I can't go without...

Tired of ads?

How about regedit.exe, I don't know how you find civilization 3 files, but that is a registry editor in c:\windows. Maybe you can e-mail firaxis and ask what files it adds to the registry so you can easily delete them. Good luck!

Thanx for the advice... but I've decided to re-format my PC last nite and already done so.

Consider it for me to clear out un-necessary files left out in my PC for the past donkey years... (well, this a good reason for me to format the PC. Hahaha...!)

But, thanx anyway...
