	A sad day in civ history Increase the size of your Attachments

I *sob* have posted here to report tragic news. Hackers have just made a free piece of software available for pc. It allows you to turn off cheat mode, so that you can cheat, and at the end it will not show the red letters that say cheat mode on your score. The diety top score is now over 70000.Here is something that will ruin the spirit of civ.

A hack like that has been available for a long time. So it still comes down to a players intregrity!
There are many time of cheat software packages out there... there is even one that can be used in MP.
The trick is to know and trust who you are playing with. I save on a pretty regular basis, so if I'm not sure of somebody, I can go back and take a peak. If something looks funny, I just won't play that person again.

I've only cheated twice in my life. Once in the eighth grade on a test and once playing rugby. Well, there was that '87 tax return. And my lady friend in Utah.

But cheat at Civ?!?!?! What's the point?

who cares if the cheated deity score is over70,000? Some guys in the strat forum (i think it was ming, rah, xin and paul) figured out the top score possible in a deity game would be somewhere around 35,000 or 36,000. So if you see a higher score anywhere... you know they cheated .

Heck if you see a score around 15,000+ they either are nuts or have a ton of time on their hands *cough* ming and rah *cough*

Its horrible, really horrible. I see why people would want to cheat. But it doesn't bring you fame. It doesn't make you any better. And fewer people will play with you. This is why I don't play on the zone, too many people use these kind of things. But of course I give people here the benefit of the doubt.
