New Science advisor issue. Put an end to popups!

I started a game with custom rules to test the fixed advisor. I didn't do anything before I entered to the advisors, and went to the science advisor. Then a red parallelogram on the middle of the screen. However it disappeared after some seconds.
Is this some test to see that it works, that hasn't been removed?

I'm getting similar graphical anomalies on various screens as well. This is on top of the fact that Civ is now crashing on me after the new patch.

I know what it is now.
It is the Settler survey that is drawn in the advisor pages instead of on the map.

If I move my settler the red (I played as Romans) parallelogram moves as well. I've so far seen it in Demographics/Top 5 Cities, Wonders of the World, Cultural advisor, Science advisor and Foreign advisor.

lines eventually disappear Increase Your PM Length

I had the same problem with my science advisor using a scenario bic file. After about 20 turns or so, the dependency lines disappeared although I could still select advances.

updated patch Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations: Deluxe Edition

The updated patch appears to fix this problem

Yes, the updated patch worked. That means that everyone should get it, and not only the Win2000/XP users.

icons missing Support Apolyton, buy Civilization: The Boardgame

The wonder/unit/improvement icons no longer appear on my science advisor map with the updated patch. Is anyone else experiencing this? It happens both with the vanilla bic file as well as scenario bic files.
