	CivIII Won't Start!! Help Please!! Support Apolyton, buy Alpha Centauri

I have XP on Two computers. One Computer has 2 user Accounts and the other has 1.

On both of them after I install civIII and Click the Icon I get a Message box that says I need to log in with administrator privilages to start the game. All of my accounts in XP on both computers are administrator accounts.

I also have XP .. but don't have this issue .. Sounds like Civ3 is trying to access something which XP has locked ... do you run CIV3 with any other background processes ??? if so, remove as many as you can before starting Civ3 .. There probably is a generic response to say its something to do with administrator rights .. as that probably is the most common cause for access denied .. (you also get access denied if files are being used by another process)

Althought you didn't directly Fix my problem you got me thinking about other things besides privileges.

I set the windows folder as a hidden folder to keep my 5 year old from making a mistake and deleting something. It turns out setting the windows folder as hidden is not healthy for your system. When I set windows to be seen it fixed the civIII problems and I have a feeling someother probs that I have been having will be also solved.
