I was wondering if anybody had any success at winning on Deity playing in peaceful builder mode. I'm getting really tired of whipping my cities into production and spending the entire Ancient era sending unwashed hordes into enemy cities.

Thanks for the information and congratulations on that win. Is that where you got the idea for the 5 city challenge? Judging by the lack of replies it seems like your victory was the exception rather than the norm. I'll have to give it a shot.

Yes, after failing many times with OCC to get a spaceship win at deity level, I decided to try it with a few supporting cities. 5 seemed to fit the game design well, since several small wonders require at least that many. Even with 5 cities, I thought it was still quite a challenge to launch first.
