And Danemark now, who is next, Germany or Tories in UK? Though even if William Hague had won (the most rightist Tory ever?), they wouldn't be even close or in the same league as Italy and Austria are today.

I too am disgusted at that situation adn ashamed to be in the same EU as these bastards.

Yup, Paiktis, Britain holds no economic or political influence whatsoever. That's because Greece is so powerful, with troops all over the globe. How could we compete?

I think British opinion is often that the Europeans are just rude. Unfortunately, the many foregin students we've had stay with us over the years have done nothing to disprove the theory (though obviously I know it isn't the case for the vast majority).

I stand by France being the hinderance. They denied British entry into Europe in the first place. And who likes France?

britain is full of crap. just like the us. two of a kind. you use your much bigger influence in the media to throw dirt and badmouth whoever did somthing to some lilly brit losers that are too stupid to realize that taking pictures in military instalations is forbitten.

I'm accually happy that Greece decided to take that dirt than succumb to your "charms" and your propaganda and pathetic "pressures".

what the stupid lilly brits did was illegal and will face the consequences wether you like it or not.

As I said noone cares about that here, and I wouldn't even know about it were it not fotr Apolyton and such torry fascists as EiF

Really who gives a f*ck?

at least they show far more maturity and dedication to respect peace and human rights than any of you ever could.

EU is a french creation. thus european peace is a french creation. you brits and amercans can continue to live in your own world that pleases your silly egos

Suffering from ads?

(playing devil's advocate)

Well, if you're going to let Turkey into the EU, then why don't you ask Japan to join? They are much more well off than the Turks, and they are in the same continent (Asia)...

The only way that Turkey can join the EU is for it's west side to split with the rest of the country and join, while the rest is absorbed by Syria, Armenia and Kurdistan...

No the Greeks won't veto Turkey's entry into the EU, the Bulgarians will, as soon as they get in themselves....

Perhaps also we should let both Israel, Lebanon and Palestine into the EU. Perhaps then they shall stop fighting one another, since they will all be working their asses out for the Germans, like we currently do....

WTF are you talking about? IS this to do with those stupid plane spotters who I never even mentioned?

I'm sure Greece does like the EU, as a charity organisation.

Why have all these poor countries been allowed into the glorious EU?

And the French always seemed to have a natural dislike for the anglos.

And I'm sure Greeka wouldn't know much about Britain, not owning televisions and all

another 20 years to try to convince them that it is ok. meanwhile the bulgarians will be used as scapegoats for what europe really doesn't want to do (allow turkey in the EU)

Even an ignorant American like myself knows that the UK wins the prize when it comes to being a thorn in the EU's side. Over the past two decades most of the news I've heard about the EU (or the EEC before it) revolved around what initiative the Brits were opposing.

"we will have a far right EU and Mr President over the ocean will look like a commie."

Commie ? Only Greenspan.

As or dubya: just take Haider's FP. It is xenophobic, populist, rotten and utterly idiotic. But it is not including the religious lunatics, or the death penalty advocates, or the extreme corporate welfarists. It is difficult enough to find a label for them here, but what would it be in the US ?

- advocates a flat tax
- is lukewarm-opposed to the DP
- is pro-choice
- is xenophobic/anti-immigration
- pro states-rights (in the EU context)
- wants heavy financial support for families

etc...

States' rights ?

But overall I'd also say they'd end up as slightly odd centrists in the US spectrum...
