I recommend the game name should be "Clash of Civilisation"
I bought a book yesterday called "The Clash of Civilisation and The remaking of world orders" and the book is great

Seriously if we really gonna start doing a game 10 000 better than Civ III then I am gonna credit more than a million bucks to do it because i luv civ type games so much....

I don't know how serious you guys are... but I've been reading these forums for nearly a year and there are a lot of bright minds round these parts. I think it could work...

Taking into account my complete lack of coding skills, I can offer instead my graphic and concept art abilities. I say we keep it free and open source.

Ha! I actually started writing a Java civ clone while I was biding my time waiting for civ 3. Got as far as writing the world generator and a basic game engine framework. Now that I'm disillusioned with what they've produced maybe I should get into it again.
