In the last few days whenever I tried to edit a post I got:

This is getting to be quite annoying.

Poly has always also taken forever and a day to edit a post, while posting the post is usually instant.

I too have gotten that message while editing lately.

Yes, I was unable to edit my Hall of Fame posting in the OT, and it was quite annoying- will this trouble be fixed any time soon?

I've seen this message some times, and these are my observations:

1. There are no e-mail addresses entered as the technical staff (they will not get any mail (and even if they had entered the addresses you would only get another warring.))

2. In most cases the post you try to post/edit actually updates, and if you refresh you get a dp, but you can never be sure.

3. If you get that error when posting a new reply, which get posted, the thread are not updated with number of replies and last post. That way you can see if that error has been in a thread by comparing the number in the thread-listing with the actual number or replies.

4. Also sometimes the thread-listing show less pages then when you open the thread. This is also the work of this error.

After the error I can't reload as per the suggestion. More precisely, it takes aeons to reload, which I don't have.

What browser do you use?

When I get that error I can reload and select retry (IE5) , and then gets a dp in most cases.

hmmm. IE 4 will reload , but will most likely not allow me to update it, and thus for the Hall of Fame, I had to post another post to show the details
