I recently installed winXP and now i find that civ3 doesnt work anymore. I installed winxp, then did a clean install on civ3, patched it and it didnt work...
"Civilization3.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close...sorry"

Update XP with the latest patches
Update your video / audio with the latest XP patches
I'm running XP and Civ3 with nary a problem.

what do you mean xp patches? something from microsoft?
I updated my nvidia drivers and sound card drivers 3 days ago.
Im not sure exactly what youre referring to.

i reinstalled it from scratch and got it to work with the patch this time, but now theres no interface inside. theres no text or buttons, just background images.
wierd.
