I don't think so. Unless Ming knows something.

Lib: When's the next patch?
Dan M.: We are aware that the game needs further patching, we're working on it as fast as we can.
Lib: I don't understand.
Dan M.: I don't know exactly when the next patch will be released.
Lib: What is this, some kind of half-baked attempt at PR? That's not the answer I was looking for. When's the next patch?
DanM.:I'll ask Jeff B.
Lib: Do it now, or else.
Dan M.: Jeff isn't sure, we'll keep you posted.
Lib: You mean you don't know the answer to my question? You are unprofessional & you dont care about me.
Dan M.: We can't answer every question on every forum.
Lib: Why don't you just answer all of MY questions?
Dan M.: ...
Lib: I'm mad. I'm going to start three more threads about this topic right now.
Mark G: There's a chat on the 21st Lib, why don't you ask them the same questions repeatedly then?
Lib: I'll be the first one there!

No, it isn't real. In fact, it borders on slander.

quote: Dan M.: We are aware that the game needs further patching, we're working on it as fast as we can. |
Until the chat, no one at Firaxis admitted the game needed anything. What they admitted was that they were aware of what we wanted, not what the boring game needs.
quote: Dan M.: I don't know exactly when the next patch will be released. |
Once Dan told me that they didn't know whether they could fix their stagnant endgame, I said that the answer satisfied me. I even thanked him for his answer.
And for the record, they didn't offer the answer until the chat.
quote: DanM.:I'll ask Jeff B. |
Dan never once offered to ask anyone. He told me to ask elsewhere.

Whatever it is that provoked your mindless parody — whether you imagined yourself to be clever, or fancied yourself to be a writer, or just enjoy trolling message boards — one thing is certain: the complete absence of any veracity in your dialog reveals the fact that you understand nothing.
And that would explain why you like Civ3, I suppose.

Those are big words you're using, you must be very smart.
Relax, it was a joke.
Sure is uptight for a southern libertarian.
